ORPHANAGE STARTUP
Orphanage Startup and Support Guide for Donor-Focused Projects
Starting an orphanage or children support center requires planning, responsibility and strong documentation. This guide explains what to prepare before searching for donor support opportunities.
Orphanage support is a sensitive area. Donors normally look for genuine projects that protect children, follow local laws, and show clear plans for food, shelter, education, health and care.
What You Need Before Seeking Support
- Legal registration or local authority approval where required
- Clear child protection policy
- Safe housing plan
- Food and nutrition plan
- Education support plan
- Caregiver or volunteer structure
- Monthly budget estimate
Important: Do not present an orphanage project without proper legal and child protection guidance. Donors take children’s safety very seriously.
Possible Support Areas
- Food donations
- Bedding and clothing
- School fees and learning materials
- Medical support
- Building and renovation assistance
- Long-term child sponsorship guidance
How to Make Your Request Stronger
Explain the number of children supported, the location, the current challenge, the monthly needs and how support will be monitored. Use real photos only when you have permission and avoid exposing children in unsafe ways.
